Nostalgia
Summer sun
Mild dehydration,
The gentle hum of the air conditioner
A kind of time machine, to days gone by
The sun rising over blue waters,
I wake up early, just to laze around
Must eke out every second of nothingness
From the summer
Summer sun beating down,
Joy and tribulations,
Arguments, friendships tested,
But everything's back to normal,
After an early morning game of cricket.
Shade and a cool breeze,
Provide respite,
As the summer sun melts my ice cream,
Faster than I can eat it
The sun setting slowly
Bathing the city in an orange light,
Sand between my toes,
Sand everywhere,
The beach is the only place to be.
